I am a native Tucsonan and attended elementary, middle school, high school and the first two years at University of Arizona. High school provided me with a diploma, but also the added benefit of meeting my future husband. I married my husband after my sophomore year in college. Later, we became the proud parents of three children two of which live here in Phoenix with their families. Our third child lives in Orange County California with his wife and one of his two daughters. His eldest child is in her sophomore year at the University of Arizona. We have a total of three granddaughters, all beautiful! We are fortunate to have one of our granddaughters living close by, an eight year old just full of energy.
I have a variety of hobbies I enjoy in my spare time. I enjoy gardening, especially caring for blooming plants. Recently, I have been creating dish gardens with a variety of cacti and succulents. I also love creating flower arrangements. And I really enjoy reading non-fiction.
I served on the Board of Directors for Not My Kid for five years and contributed content to their website.
I supported and worked on the Board of Directors of Blessing Thrift, a non-profit focused on assisting women in crisis.
